A Sustainable Location-Allocation Model for Solar-Powered Pest Control to Increase Rice Productivity

Insect attacks are a very complicated problem in rice cultivation that cause decrease productivity. It is important to not use pesticides kill pests due environmental and health issues. This study aimed solve the pest by installing solar-powered pest-control technology using waves of ultraviolet light ultrasonic sound (UVUS, name product). The development UVUS involved only innovation from startups but also adaption existing technologies such as batteries, solar panels, sensors. A location-allocation model has been developed accordance with flower pollination algorithm (FPA) sustainability considerations productivity innovative control. mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) approach was used determine number required minimize areas missed sound. Numerical analysis case Delanggu Village showed can be miss certain minimal area. results show proposed applied control provide promising economical, social, outcomes.
